AB/DL Survey #2 Part 5 Results

Central to the desires of most (but not all) AB/DLs is the diaper. To enthusiasts at least, not all diapers are the same. This section of the survey explores AB/DLs preferences for fantasy diapers and diapers in practice.

To try to keep the list of answers manageable, Q7 and questions in this part didn't include less-basic combinations, such as a preference plastic pants over disposable diapers.

(Non-babyfurs might have found the note about tapes to secure the tail gathers odd. In addition to clarifying the question for babyfurs (who otherwise might have counted the extra tape) it served to remind participants that this question was about the fantasy diaper.)

"A disposable is nice to have when you feel like wearing a diaper un-noticed. Cloth diaper are much bulkier and harder to conceal. Sometimes i like to go outside or maybe even out in public with a diaper on. Disposables make it much more convenient."
"Actually, at this point of my life, I do not wear diapers anymore because I don't want this to affect my social link with "normal" people. What's more, since they released a program called Second Life I can, now, be my true self, in a completely different world, not fearing how this could possibly affect my real life."
"As stated earlier [Q60], one-tape-pair diapers is not a realistic design for an adult-shaped body."
"Couldn't get away with it at work."
"I am shy and rarely do wear a diaper. Mostly I fantasize."

"It's becoming increasingly difficult to find smooth plastic backed disposables. Everyone seems to be running towards the spun plastic "cloth-like" backings. Additionally, it's not always feasible or sane to wear a thick, noisy diaper (for example, at work, bowling, etc.). Discretion is sometimes required."
"I've grown to appreciate disposables more, maybe because of seeing how they look on a lot of the younger men wearing them, but probably more because I found a specific bulkiness that captures the feeling of wearing diapers for me."

"The fact that magic doesn't exist is the main reason. Other than that, my fantasy diaper is what I currently use every day. Although, I am more discreet about it than I would be in my fantasies, meaning, I usually don't wear a super thick diaper out into public, only at night. I try to keep my daytime diapers concealed under my larger pants and longer tee shirts, but they can still be noticed if someone is paying attention. Because I have to wear them, I'm not so concerned with people noticing them as much as before, when I only wore for fun. Back then, it would have been totally embarrassing if anyone found out. Now, it's almost like a badge of honor, because of all the pain and suffering I went through with those 3 back surgeries, and the loss of control, I feel like I deserve to wear them, if that makes sense."

They also resemble underwear enough to avoid detection, and they don't make noise, which are good features when wearing stuff in public while not wanting to make others uncomfortable."

"Well...I'm not an anthropomorphic animal in real life, so you can't make a diaper with a tail hole...since then things would leak."
