Survey - AB/DL Odds and Ends

Sections: Survey #4 part 1 - 2 - help 3 - 4 - practices - favorites

I'd like to personally convey my gratitude; first to the previous surveyors, such as Dr. Speaker and Dave, whose work laid a foundation for this project as well as for providing inspiration. I'd also like to thank the many beta-testers who reviewed the surveys, to ensure that the questions were clear and the multiple choices had enough breadth. Finally, I'd like to thank the thousands of surveyees. I couldn't have done this without all of you. Together, we made this happen.

While data collection has closed for this survey series, the project will continue for some time. There is still much analysis to be competed and probably more discoveries to be made.

Surveyees were instructed that:

All fill-in-the-blank questions are optional.

Answers to this survey are confidential, although answers to the fill-in-the-blank questions may be quoted anonymously. If you do not wish to be quoted, simply uncheck the 'it is OK to quote from my essay answers anonymously' box at the end of the survey. Names, email addresses, and other identifying information will not be distributed.

For the the purposes of this survey, 'AB/DL' will be used to loosely refer to those with an interest in diapers and/or babyhood. It will also be used to as an adjective to avoid repeating 'paraphilic infantilism, diaper fetishism, and related interests' often. If you don't consider yourself an AB/DL or caregiver, please substitute ageplay, BDSM, etc. in following questions. Additionally, 'babyhood' will be used generally to refer to infancy, toddlerhood, etc. Finally, 'partner' will be used to refer to one's girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse, life partner, mistress, master, 'mommy,' 'daddy,' etc.

If you are a caregiver, big, partner of an AB/DL, etc., your input is important. Please answer based on your views and interests, as opposed to answering for your partner. (Clarification added 2 August 2011)

Part 1 touched on the basics, including birthplace, education, and predominant religions.

Part 2 asked about some memories of the surveyee's childhood. It included earliest memories, bedwetting, and early diaper-related experimentation. It included the essay question "What could be done to help make growing up easier for today's young AB/DLs?"

Part 3 touched on matters outside of being an ABDL, and on being out in public.

Part 4 on practices and paraphernalia asked about outfits and stuffed animals, but mainly consisted of two sets of essay questions. The first set was intended to build four lists of items and activities; those that the surveyee enjoyed most, also enjoyed, would like to try, and wished to avoid. The last asked for more detail about a favorite item or activity.
