Figure #5 - A 3D bar chart showing the prefered roleplay role for the always, trauma, and exposed groups.

Figure Description

Figure number five is a 3D bar chart showing the prefered roleplay role for the always, trauma, and exposed groups. Based on Question #14, responses were divided into 'always,' 'event,' or 'other.' 'Event' was then sorted based on the type of event described in Question #16. The percentages are with respect to the bold-labeled axis, 'always,' 'trauma,' or 'exposure.'

For all three groups, the mode was to prefer the role of 'toddler.' This trend is strongest for the 'trauma' group and weakest for the 'exposed' group.

Questions

14)Was there some event that you think might have originally caused your interest in diapers or babyhood, or did the interest seem to always be there?

  1. My interests were there before, but at some time I realized that I was different; that others around me didn't share the interest.
  2. My interests were probably caused by a specific event (stumbling across a reference to ABDL activities somewhere, getting introduced to it, an incident of emotional trauma, trying a new kink, sexual abuse, etc.)
  3. My interests started at a certain time, but I'm not sure what event caused them.
  4. I remember acting on my interests in diapers and babyhood, but don't remember when they started or when I realized that they made me different.
  5. I was wearing diapers already for bedwetting or incontinence, and noticed that I was starting to enjoy wearing them or being a baby.
  6. I decided to try adding diapers or babyhood to my existing ageplay, BDSM, fetish, etc., interest.
  7. None. I've never had an interest in diapers or babyhood.

16)How would you describe what happened?

25)In ageplay-related fantasies, what role do enjoy being most? (Please choose the closest match. For example, an adopted babyfur cub might be a newborn or toddler.)

  1. Newborn/young baby
  2. Toddler
  3. Small child, before puberty
  4. Teen or older child (but not a caregiver)
  5. Adult (but not a caregiver)
  6. Sitter, nurse, teacher, or other unrelated caregiver
  7. Mommy, daddy, big brother, or other related caregiver
  8. I enjoy roleplay, but no specific roles in the caregiver/child context.
  9. I don't enjoy roleplay.
