Figure #6 - a bar chart of overrepresented and underrepresented interest nodes.

Figure Description

For Figure #6, a bar chart was used instead of the four-dimensional CSB disk plot proposed in " Mapping Paraphilic Infantilism and Diaper Fetishes" shown below. (The following two images are from a different report, thus the figure numbers.) This plot showed the relative importance of the themes of control, sexuality, and babyhood in ABDL games, scenes, and fantasies. The area of each disk is proportional to the node population. Adding a sex ratio to this plot would have made it five-dimensional.

This figure shows the distribution of ABDLs mapped by interest. The importance of three themes - control, sexuality, and babyhood - are plotted on three axes. Responces were grouped as either considering each theme important(+), neutral(0), or undesired(+). The size of the disc at each combination of interests represents the percent of ABDLs who reported that combination of interests. For example, 11.7% of ABDLs reported that control, sexuality, and babyhood were important (C+S+B+).

The American Psychiatric Association reports a sex ratio for masochism (which includes paraphilic infantilism) at twenty to one [1]. Fetishism (including diaper fetishism) would "almost never" be seen in women. This is consistent with the results in Figure #6. As illustrated in another plot from Mapping Paraphilic Infantilism and Diaper Fetishes", the most common node that the American Psychiatric Association would group as paraphilic infantilism is C+S+B+, and the most common diaper fetish node is C-S+B-. C+S+B+ is relatively overrepresented, and C-S+B- relatively underrepresented.

As can be seen on the CSB disk plot, the four significantly underrepresented nodes neigbor eachother, clustered in the lower right corner around C-S+B-.

This figure applies the American Psychiatric Association's definitions to the ABDL interest disc plot. Paraphilic infantilism, with importance on sexuality and control or babyhood, is shown in white. Fetishism only requires with an importance on sexuality. Except for the nodes included in paraphilic infantilism, the nodes that match the fetishism definition are shown in black. Together, these groups include 45% of ABDLs.
